I went over to Japan for a week to visit my brother.Caught my flight over at KLIA and met my mom there who was on transit from Penang.
I had to endure an hour of harassment from a guy who sat next to me on the bus from my residence to KLIA.
I smile too much, damnit.
Finished Angels & Demons while on the plane.
STUPID MOVIE NEVER FOLLOW THE CHRONOLOGY OF THE BOOK!!!
But anyways, once we reach Narita airport we took an express train over to Hanzomon station, which was were my bro's place is located.
We stayed over at his place for one whole week.
He took us out to the city once we got adequate rest.
More aptly put, once I get my adequate rest, since I don't sleep at night, heh.
Showed us around the city square outside of Tokia Building.
There was this market going on outside, and there were loads of people mingling around on a beautiful sunny Sunday afternoon.
He had to make a pit stop over at his office for a moment because he forgot to put his in notice for one whole week of leave. Notice the words on the building with the pink bat?
Poor boy doesn't have a life because he has to arrive at the office early and work late nights with OT. ;)
Then again, all of that is doesn't matter because he gets a fat paycheck at the end of the month.
So while my brother was busy being a working man upstairs, my mom and I wandered around the lower floor of the building. Japanese old ladies are quite modern. Let me show you an example.
My first initial reaction was: "No way!! No dish can be that big!!"
So me and my mom, feeling adventurous (a less nicer way to put this would be to say us being sampat), decided to have lunch there and experience this huge bowl ramen of theirs. We made our orders after lining up for 20 minutes (by which my brother had joined us), and sit back, relax (with a glass of plum wine, complimentary for people who work in Tokia building), and wait in anticipation for our food. When my order arrived, this was what I saw.

Nah, every bowl comes with giant cutlery.

That, was my mom's order. She had ramen with katsu tofu while I had plain original ramen Japanese style. Note the size of the bowl. It's bigger than my head!! Yes, I tried to fit my head into it.....till my brother threw me this dirty look that says "Please don't embarrass me since I eat here often." Major letdown, that. =((
We went to Ginza contented, with our stomachs stuffed from strands of ramen after that.
Ginza is an area in Tokyo where the big designer labels are. My photos are of no use to describe it since I busied myself with photos of dogs over there, heh.
Look at that poodle!! They say dogs and their owners look almost alike.
Ain't that just true.
The police would close down the roads over the weekends for the public to walk about and enjoy shopping at their own leisure. I wasn't interested in the shops (like I'd get to buy it, hah) but I sure was interested in those people who took their dogs out for a stretch of legs.
My legs were beat by the time I got back home. The weather was just perfect tho, so no complaints!!
Oh, and before I got back, on the way to the station, I saw this:
It matches my pyjamas perfectly!!!!
In a slightly less Malaysian way and leaning more towards the Japanese way, Kawaii ne!!
